RIKEN BioResource Center and Lanzhou Institute of Biological Products signed a memorandum of understanding on Oct 31th 2006 to encourage and promote cooperation in areas of mutual interest in Laboratory Animal Science, as follows:

- Providing experience and expertise on management, design, and operation of laboratory animal facilities
- Exchanging faculty members and researchers for participation in research
- Conducting joint research projects and activities
- Exchanging information and academic publications

This Memorandum will be effective from Oct 31th, 2006 for a period of five years.
