"Pheno-Pub" is a website to provide the phenotypic data of various mice
resources screened at RIKEN BRC Japan Mouse Clinic.
Phenotype data of standard inbred strains have been made available on the
website.

| strains from repositories
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------

RIKEN BRC signed an "Agreement for international recovery of
cryopreserved mouse strains from repositories" with the Swedish Repository
at Karolinska-Huddinge (SRAKH) on September 14th.

The Federation of International Mouse Resources (FIMRe) is a
collaborating group of Mouse Repository and Resource Centers worldwide
whose collective goal is to archive and provide strains of mice as
cryopreserved embryos and gametes, ES cell lines, and live breeding stock
to the research community. The FIMRe provides the International Mouse
Strain Resource (IMSR), a searchable online one-stop shop of mouse strains
and stocks available worldwide. FIMRe members facilitate the international
recovery of cryopreserved mouse strains from repositories. You can ask a
regional FIMRe member about the sites of recovery of cryopreserved mice,
and the FIMRe member can also help you with the recovery of live mice from
other repositories.

RIKEN BRC has executed an agreement with the following FIMRe members to
facilitate use of our frozen strains by the international scientific
community.

The 31st Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in
Medicine and Biology Society was held at the Hilton Minneapolis Hotel in
Minnesota, USA from September 2-6, 2009. Dr. Satoshi Ohta, Bioresource
Information Division RIKEN BRC participated in the conference to present
our work entitled "Four-Dimensional Quantitative Analysis of the Gait of
Mutant Mice Using Coarse-Grained Motion Capture".

| Newly deposited mouse strains
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------

These mice have been newly deposited to RIKEN BRC. They will be available
soon after rederivation. We appreciate depositors for their contributions
to the scientific community.

| Newly available mouse strains
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------

These mice just have been rederived into our barrier facility.
These mice are now available for distribution.

| Mouse strains for freeze preservation
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Since enough number of embryos has been preserved, live mice of these
strains will be closed soon. It will take more than 3 months to recover
live mice from frozen stock. Please let us know as soon as possible, if
you plan to use the mice and request them alive.
