Last year, we found LCMV-infected mice in our SPF facility.
We reported with Central Institute for Experimental Animals how the infected mice had passed through our medical inspection, and how we dealed with the problem.
The establishment of our new inspection method for LCMV and the containment of the virus were critically acclaimed.
We also disscused development of SPF method in our country. |

We introduced the method for freeze presearvation of ovary from mutant mice in RIKEN BRC.
This method is very useful to preserve the neurological mutant mice which have deficiency in growth and reproduction. |
